EPS Security acquires Lowell-based Browning Detection Systems

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., July 17, 2013— EPS Security (EPS), a national top-30 residential and business security provider, has acquired Lowell-based Browning Detection Systems located at 209 E Main Street, Lowell, Mich. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. 

 The acquisition finalized last month includes business operations and store-front property of Browning Detection Systems. EPS will retain Browning’s current employees including proprietor Steve Browning, who will work at EPS headquarters in Grand Rapids as a project manager.

The acquisition adds more than 50 contracted security accounts to EPS Security’s customer base.  EPS currently monitors nearly 18,000 commercial and residential customers, making it the largest security company in West Michigan.

Browning Detection Systems originally opened for business in October, 2011.
