EPS Raises $10,000 for Local Kids’ Non-Profit Organizations
EPS Hosts Free “Life Safety Day”; Provides 500 Families with Free Child ID

EPS Security took the notion of safety directly to our West Michigan families by holding a FREE child fingerprinting event at John Ball Park last month. Nearly 500 kids participated in the first annual event, called EPS Security Life Safety Day, to take part in the ID program and enjoy free musical performances, bounce houses, air-brushed tattoos and free food and juice. EPS partnered with The KlaasKids Foundation, a leading child safety advocate group, to provide the state-of-the-art fingerprinting program.
To bolster attendance and participation in this important safety event, EPS pledged a $20 donation to local kids’ charities for each child that participated--$10 each to Kids’ Food Basket and D.A. Blodgett.
“Once you get past the motion sensors, fire alarms and keypad hardware, what EPS Security really provides is protection for our customers and their families,” said Kevin Carlson, president of EPS Security. “We wanted to take that even further to invite the entire community to come together to participate in a free program that will help West Michigan families safe. We were blessed with a beautiful day and a great turnout and I’m happy to report that we successfully provided 500 families with some additional safety tools.”
KlaasKids founder, Marc Klaas, was in attendance to underscore the importance of updated child identification records. For more information on proactive child identification, please visit KlaasKids.org.
